Ladies, have you heard about the new support group for moms called Lake Murray Moms? I think it’s a great idea! Having been raised by a stay-at-home mom, I know some of what they go through. My mom hated being called a housewife. She would always say, “I didn’t marry the house!” She preferred the term homemaker, and that’s certainly what she was.
However, the group caters to all moms: stay-at-home moms, working moms and single moms. I think it’s great for women to have a place to go be around other like-minded women. They offer children’s field trips and playdates throughout the month and they also have a monthly mom’s only “social.”
