National Safe Boating Week officially began yesterday, May 19, and runs through May 25. But the Lake Murray Coast Guard Auxiliary is hosting an open house on Saturday, May 26 from 10 to 4 pm to celebrate. At the event you can see safety demonstrations, learn more about safe boating and learn more about the USCG Auxiliary.
The event is being held at the LMCGA facility on Flotilla Island at the end of Johnson Marina Road.
